Test Expectations: How many students met or exceeded English CCR test expectations in Eureka County School District in 2023-24 school year?

Of the 33 students who took part in the English portion of their College and Career Readiness Assessment (CCR) in Eureka County School District, 42.4% met the testing standard while 6.1% exceeded expectations, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

At the time, the proficiency level in the district was 48.5%, 3% more than the state's average of 45.5%.

There were 325 students enrolled in the 2023-24 school year, 2.4% less than the year before.

Across the state, Washoe County School District had the highest percentage growth in enrollment during the 2023-24 school year, increasing by 4.3% from 61,171 to 63,777 students. Meanwhile, Lyon County School District saw the smallest percentage growth, changing by less than 0.1%, increasing from 9,053 to 9,057 students.

Eureka County School District roughly covers schools within Eureka County and has a main office in Eureka.

In Nevada, the ACT serves as the College and Career Readiness assessment for high school juniors, and it is used to evaluate if they are on track for higher education.

According to the Nation's Report Card data, there is a significant disparity in academic performance between minority students and their white peers in Nevada's schools. For example, in 2022, 8th-grade reading exams revealed that 46% of African American and 39% of Hispanic students failed, compared to 21% of white students. Similar trends were also seen in math and across different grade levels.
