CRT Science: How many Humboldt County School District students failed during 2023-24 school year?

Of the 269 Humboldt County School District students who took part in the Criterion Referenced Test (CRT) in the 2023-24 school year, 88.5% did not meet science benchmarks, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

This is 8.7% above the statewide average of 79.8%.

Humboldt County School District roughly covers schools within Humboldt County and has a main office in Winnemucca.

The number of students who failed to meet expectations in the subject rose by 30.8% the previous school year.

In Humboldt County School District, most of the students who fell below proficiency were at the lowest performance level.

Criterion-Referenced Tests (CRTs) are used to evaluate students' proficiency in science, measuring their performance against state academic standards.

Nevada's educational system ranked third-lowest in the U.S. for educational quality, student outcomes, and overall school safety, only ahead of Louisiana and Arizona, according to an analysis from the World Population Review.
