October: Eureka County is home to 3 non-Hispanic white inmates

Eureka County had three non-Hispanic white individuals incarcerated in October, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

This is the same amount as the month before.

Steven Don Barrack, a 40-year-old non-Hispanic white man, was the youngest inmate in Eureka County in October.

Overall, local jails in the county had three people incarcerated as of October.

Every year, at least 38,000 people are booked into Nevada's local jails.

Nevada has an incarceration rate of 713 per 100,000 people, which means it incarcerates a higher percentage of its population than any other democracy in the world.
