Lander County schools: 1,059 students enrolled in 2022-23 school year

There were 1,059 students enrolled in Lander County schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.8% more than the previous year, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.5% of them were boys, and 48.4% were girls.

The most common ethnicity among Lander County students was white, which represented 58.2% of the student body. The second most common ethnicity in the county was Hispanic (32%).

Battle Mountain Elementary School stood out with the highest enrollment among Lander County in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 440 students.

Enrollment in Nevada schools has dropped in recent years, falling nearly 2% in the last four years.

Nevada has roughly one teacher for every 22 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.
