Of the 104 students who took part in the Criterion Referenced Test (CRT), 75% did not meet the testing standard, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

Pershing County School District roughly covers schools within Pershing County and has a main office in Lovelock.

The number of Pershing County School District students who failed their Science assessments rose by 14.5% the previous school year.

There were 75% of students who did not meet the required standards of the Science portion of the CRT, compared to the 24% who did.

Of those who failed, most of them scored in the second lowest proficiency level.

In the 2021-22 school year, the proficiency level of Pershing County School District stood at 24%, lagging behind the state's average of 27.1%.

Mineral County School District students demonstrated the worst results with 88.5% of learners struggling with their exams.

The Nevada Criterion Referenced Test is given to students between Grades 3 and 8. It measures whether students students are on track for college and ready for their careers once they've graduated.

Nevada has struggled with an achievement gap in testing among students of diverse ethnicities. Reading scores for 4th and 8th graders revealed that Black and Hispanic students often score lower than White students.

In comparison to the national average of 90%, Nevada has the fortieth-largest educational system in the country, with 94% of all K–12 students receiving their education in public institutions.
