Which Pershing County school registered largest enrollment in 2023-24 school year?

Lovelock Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Pershing County schools, welcoming 293 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

Of all the students enrolled, 53.6% of them were boys, and 46.4% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Lovelock Elementary School students was white, accounting for 47.1% of the student population.

Among the four schools in Pershing County, Pershing County High School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 175 students, while Pershing County Middle School welcomed 154 students and ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Lovelock Elementary School is part of Pershing County School District, which roughly covers schools within Pershing County and has a main office in Lovelock.

In the previous school year, Lovelock Elementary School also had the highest number of students among Pershing County schools.

Despite a significant drop in chronic absenteeism, Nevada’s numbers are still high. In the 2023-24 school year, the state reported that over a quarter of students were chronically absent from classes, above the 18.8% rate registered in the 2018-19 school year.
