How many Black students were enrolled in Humboldt County School District in 2022-23 school year?

There were 26 Black students enrolled in Humboldt County School District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 36.8% more than the previous year, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

Data showed that Humboldt County School District welcomed 3,311 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 0.8% of the student body to be the third least represented ethnicity in the district.

Humboldt County School District roughly covers 13 schools within Humboldt County and has a main office in Winnemucca.

Among the 13 schools in Humboldt County School District, Sonoma Heights Elementary recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 11 students.

Enrollment in Nevada has experienced a notable decline, falling nearly 2% over the last four years.

Meanwhile, Nevada has roughly one teacher for every 22 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for every 15 students.
