How many inmates were incarcerated in Pershing County during Q4 2022?

In Pershing County, 23 inmates were incarcerated in the fourth quarter of 2022, unchanged from the quarter before, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Jose Javier Figueroa, a 23-year-old, was the youngest inmate sentenced in Pershing County in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Evencio Gutierrez was the oldest at 71-years-old.

Every year, at least 38,000 people are booked into Nevada's local jails.

Nevada has an incarceration rate of 713 per 100,000 people, which means it incarcerates a higher percentage of its population than any other democracy in the world.
