Sierra Nevada University recently issued the following announcement.

Writers in the Woods – Gina Frangello

February 4 - February 5

Gina Frangello is the author of four books of fiction, most recently A Life With Men, which is now under development as a series on Netflix. Her debut memoir, Blow Your House Down, was released in April 2021 to a blaze of rave reviews. Every Kind of Wanting was included by both Chicago Magazine and The Chicago Review of Books as one of the “Best Books of 2016.”

"Frangello astutely dissects the quandaries of female sexuality, adoption, terminal illness, and compound heartbreak in a torrent of tough-minded observations, audacious candor, and storytelling moxie."

— Donna Seaman, Booklist

Frangello is a regular contributor to Psychology Today magazine, and has published in Ploughshares, Fence, Salon, the Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune, and many other venues. She runs an international writing program, “Other Voices Queretaro” in the Central Highlands of Mexico. She recently teamed with Emily Rapp Black to launch Circe Consulting, a one-stop shop for a broad array of writing support—from editing, to ghost writing, to retreats and more.

SNC Tahoe's Writers in the Woods features well-known poets and writers from all over the country presenting readings and workshops. Due to the pandemic, all events are on Zoom until further notice.
