Churchill County School District: 51.3% of students failed their English CCR tests during 2022-23 school year

Of the 224 Churchill County School District students who took part in the College and Career Readiness Assessment (CCR) in the 2022-23 school year, 51.3% did not meet English benchmarks, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

This is 2.8% below the statewide average of 54.1%.

Churchill County School District roughly covers schools within Churchill County and has a main office in Fallon.

The number of students who failed to meet expectations in the subject rose by 10.6% the previous school year.

In Churchill County School District, most of the students who fell below proficiency were at the second lowest performance level.

In Nevada, the ACT serves as the College and Career Readiness assessment for high school juniors, evaluating whether they are on track for higher education.

Nevada's educational system ranked third-lowest in the U.S. for educational quality, student outcomes, and overall school safety, only ahead of Louisiana and Arizona, according to an analysis from the World Population Review.
