9 inmates in Pershing County are non-Hispanic white in December 2024

Pershing County had nine non-Hispanic white individuals incarcerated in December 2024, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

This is the same amount as the month before.

Jose Javier Figueroa, a 24-year-old Hispanic or Latino man, was the youngest inmate in Pershing County in December 2024.

Overall, local jails in the county had 16 people incarcerated as of December 2024.

Every year, at least 38,000 people are booked into Nevada's local jails.

Nevada has an incarceration rate of 610 per 100,000 people, which means it incarcerates a higher percentage of its population than any other democracy in the world — except for the United States.
