In Churchill County, 110 inmates were incarcerated in May, a 10,900% increase over the month before, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Dominic Richard Deleon, a 20-year-old, was the youngest inmate incarcerated in Churchill County in May.

Richard L. Myers was the oldest at 76-years-old.

Every year, at least 38,000 people are booked into Nevada's local jails.

Nevada has an incarceration rate of 713 per 100,000 people, which means it incarcerates a higher percentage of its population than any other democracy in the world.
