In Humboldt County, 39 inmates were incarcerated in the second quarter of 2024, unchanged from the quarter before, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Gavin Paul Parry, a 21-year-old, was the youngest inmate sentenced in Humboldt County in the second quarter of 2024.

Jorge Cordoba Velazquez was the oldest at 71-years-old.

Every year, at least 38,000 people are booked into Nevada's local jails.

Nevada has an incarceration rate of 713 per 100,000 people, which means it incarcerates a higher percentage of its population than any other democracy in the world.
