In Eureka County, three inmates were incarcerated in the second quarter of 2024, unchanged from the quarter before, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Steven Don Barrack, a 39-year-old, was the youngest inmate sentenced in Eureka County in the second quarter of 2024.

Robert Edwin Basham was the oldest at 62-years-old.

Every year, at least 38,000 people are booked into Nevada's local jails.

Nevada has an incarceration rate of 713 per 100,000 people, which means it incarcerates a higher percentage of its population than any other democracy in the world.
