How many Black students were enrolled in Pershing County district in 2022-23 school year?

There were 12 Black students enrolled in Pershing County district in the 2022-23 school year, 200% more than the previous year, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

Data showed that Pershing County welcomed a total of 684 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 1.8% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the county.

Pershing County School District was the only district in the county which enrolled Black students in the 2022-23 school year.

Enrollment in Nevada has experienced a notable decline, falling nearly 2% over the last four years.

Meanwhile, Nevada has roughly one teacher for every 22 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.
