How many inmates were incarcerated in White Pine County during January?

In White Pine County, 63 inmates were incarcerated in January, a 12.5 percent decrease from the month before, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Weston Taylor Sampson, a 21-year-old, was the youngest inmate incarcerated in White Pine County in January.

Donald L. Winn was the oldest at 73-years-old.

Every year, at least 38,000 people are booked into Nevada's local jails.

Nevada has an incarceration rate of 713 per 100,000 people, which means it incarcerates a higher percentage of its population than any other democracy in the world.
