How many inmates were incarcerated in White Pine County during Q1?

In White Pine County, 62 inmates were incarcerated in the first quarter of 2023, unchanged from the quarter before, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Weston Taylor Sampson, a 21-year-old, was the youngest inmate sentenced in White Pine County in the first quarter of 2023.

Donald L. Winn was the oldest at 74-years-old.

Every year, at least 38,000 people are booked into Nevada's local jails.

Nevada has an incarceration rate of 713 per 100,000 people, which means it incarcerates a higher percentage of its population than any other democracy in the world.
