Elko County Commissioners proclaimed a Declaration of an Emergency Due to Severe Weather Events at their emergency March 21, 2023 meeting.
Since November 2022, the severe weather system has impacted the health, safety and welfare of residents and livestock, damaged roadways, and threatens to damage other infrastructure.
Elko County resources have been and are now stretched to their limits, and assistance to respond to the emergency may be necessary.
