Mail Ballot Opt-Out Deadline: September 9, 2022

The Mail Ballot Opt-Out Deadline is quickly approaching!

All active voters who are registered to vote no later than 14 days before Election Day will receive a mail ballot whether or not they requested one, unless they opt-out.

To opt out, you must submit a Mail Ballot Preference Form available at www.elkocountynv.net/departments/clerk/elections or you may submit your request online to the Nevada Secretary of State’s (NVSOS) website at https://registertovote.nv.gov. The NVSOS will transfer your request to the Clerk’s Office. For the 2022 General Election, requests must be received by the Clerk’s Office by September 9, 2022.

Voters are encouraged to check on the status of their voter registration to ensure their address is up to date.  Visit the NVSOS website:  https://registertovote.nv.gov
