At the Regular City Council Meeting of August 16th, Jasie Holm was appointed to fill the open vacancy of Mayor. Jasie submitted a letter of interest for the open position which had been advertised throughout the community since former Mayor Daniel Corona's resignation on August 2nd.
Jasie's was the only letter received as a qualified elector under NRS 266.180. With the Council's appointment, Jasie will now serve out the remainder of the current Mayoral term until a qualified successor is determined in the next City General Election to be held November 2024. Jasie was initially elected as Council Member in 2014, then re-elected in 2018 before being appointed as the Mayor on August 16, 2022.
