Dusty LaBrie Receives Service Award as West Wendover Part Time Fire Fighter

On Tuesday July 12, 2022, Dusty LaBrie received his 5 year service award by City Manager Chris Melville as a Part Time Fire Fighter with the West Wendover Fire Department.

Dusty started his service as a Fire Fighter I in 2017.  He then advanced to Fire Fighter II in 2019, the position he continues in today.  City Manager Melville said, "Dusty is one of several city employees that not only works as a full time employee, in this case with the Public Works Department as a Tech II, but as well he has taken on an extra obligation of service by joining the dedicated group of Part Time Fire Fighters who help fill the ranks of the Fire Service.  That dedication is what public service is all about and is something much appreciated by the community."

In addition to his plaque, Dusty received a service pin designed with the City Seal.  The pin reflects the employee's years of service with a star for every five years they serve.  As well, he received a $25 Smith's Food Store Gift Card.

Congratulations Dusty, and thank you for your continued service to the community.
