County of Elko recently issued the following announcement.
Elko County has released the Invitation to Bid on the Great Basin Child Advocacy Center in Elko.
Deadline for bid submissions is February 9, 2022 FEBRUARY 17, 2022. Details on the project with contact information for questions can be found on our website under Notices.
The Great Basin Child Advocacy Center (GBCAC) is currently a non-profit organization which consists of a team of professionals organized to respond to child sexual and physical abuse. The team consists of professionals from several fields, including prosecutors, law enforcement officers, medical, and mental health. This center will house all of the services that it provides so that victims and their families have one convenient location to go to in order to receive an appropriate response.
This project is funded by many individuals, entities and an incredible grant from the William N. Pennington Foundation. Many individuals and businesses have also donated their services to get this important project started.
