Eureka County Sheriff Department recently issued the following announcement.
Introducing Lieutenant Evertsen!
I am blessed to have promoted a great man, mentor and leader, Lt. Marcial Evertsen!
Marcial has worked for Eureka County since 2004, starting as a Dispatcher, moving to Detentions Deputy, Deputy Sheriff and he has been a Sergeant since 2008.
Lt. Evertsen will be the third in command of the Eureka County Sheriff’s Office.
Lt. Evertsen will be our Northern Area Commander, and will continue to serve all of Eureka County from our Northern Area Command (Cresent Valley).
A great quote came to mind during this promotion.
“We need leaders who add value to the people and the organization they lead; who work for the benefit of others and not just for their own personal gain. Leaders who inspire and motivate, not intimidate and manipulate; who live with people to know their problems in order to solve them and who follow a moral compass that points in the right directions regardless of the trends.” —Mary Kay Ash
Lt. Evertsen was once my supervisor, and he lead me then, and today, he continues to lead me.
Congratulations Lt. Evertsen!
