Mesquite Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
The City is pleased to welcome Favian Figueroa as our new West Wendover Librarian.
Favian was born in Winnemucca, Nevada, and was raised in Battle Mountain where he graduated High School. After graduation he began working in various medical fields including as a medical assistant and as a physical therapy technician in Elko, Nevada. He then spent a couple of years in Corpus Christi, Texas before returning home to Nevada.
After being in West Wendover for a couple of months, he noticed how close the community members were with each other and seeing this type of connection made him want to be a part of strengthening that community bond.
When asked about being the new Librarian, Favian remarked, "As the new Librarian I want the community to feel welcomed to not only stop by and check out books but to come in and be able to make full use of our services. Whether it's reading a book with a group of friends or using our reference books for your research projects. There are plenty of events you and your friends can do at the Library. The Library's doors are almost always open for service."
Speaking of hours of operation, Favian filled us in on that as well.
The Library will be open Tuesday through Saturdays.
Tuesday / Friday / Saturday: 10am to 4pm
Wednesday / Thursday: 1pm to 7pm
Please stop in and say hello to Favian and give him a warm welcome to our community.
