Museum Fundraiser Book Sale runs July 28-August 15

County of Churchill issued the following announcement on July 20.

The Churchill County Museum will hold a fundraising book sale from July 28 through August 15 featuring books from the estate of former Museum Director Dan Ingram.

“Books are priced to sell with most prices ranging from 50 cents to $5.00,” said Teri Hedgpeth, museum director. “Included in the collection are first editions from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century, multiple Nancy Drew mysteries, multiple copies of early Emily Post’s Etiquette, a selection of Time Magazine from the mid-1940s and cookbooks from the 19th and 20th centuries.”

General topics include architecture, art, history, religion, medicine, etiquette, carpentry and fiction.

Proceeds from the sale will support exhibits and programming at the museum.

The Churchill County Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. so come on by and check out the book sale offerings in the museum’s multi-purpose room!
