Eureka County: How many students were enrolled in Eureka County High School in 2022-23 school year?

Eureka County High School had the highest enrollment among Eureka County schools, welcoming 161 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 57.1% of them were boys, and 42.9% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 72.1% of Eureka County High School’s total enrollment.

Among the three schools in Eureka County, Eureka Elementary School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 139 students, while Crescent Valley Elementary welcomed 33 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Eureka County High School is part of Eureka County School District, which roughly covers schools within Eureka County and has a main office in Eureka.

In the previous school year, Eureka Elementary School had the highest number of students among Eureka County schools.

Meanwhile, chronic absenteeism has become a significant issue in Nevada since the pandemic. In the 2022-23 school year, the state reported that more than a third of students (34.9%) were chronically absent from classes, nearly double the rate from 2018-19 (18.8%). This mirrors a national trend, with estimates suggesting the number of chronically absent students in the U.S. has grown to over 16 million compared to pre-pandemic data.

Currently, Nevada has roughly one teacher for every 22 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.
