There was a single gas station in cities across Elko County selling regular gas at the lowest price of $3.59 per gallon in the week ending Mar. 30, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of regular gas in cities within Elko County was $3.64 per gallon.

Of the 10 gas stations in cities within Elko County, four offer regular gas.

The average price of regular gas in Nevada was $4.25, compared to $4.15 the week before.

Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year’s end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
