Of the 20 students involved in safety incidents at Pershing County schools, 35% of them were boys, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal. This is 27.8% less than the state’s average of 62.8%.
The number of Pershing County boys involved in criminal activity at school reduced by 36.4% compared to the previous year.
Out of four Pershing County schools, Pershing County Middle School and Pershing County High School reported the most boys getting in trouble, reaching four total incidents in the 2022-23 school year.
Parents have raised concerns about increasing crime in Nevada schools.
