49 inmates were incarcerated in White Pine County in Q3 2023

In White Pine County, 49 inmates were incarcerated in the third quarter of 2023, a 26.9 percent decrease from the quarter before, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Jeremy James Moreno, a 21-year-old, was the youngest inmate sentenced in White Pine County in the third quarter of 2023.

Donald L. Winn was the oldest at 74-years-old.

Every year, at least 38,000 people are booked into Nevada's local jails.

Nevada has an incarceration rate of 713 per 100,000 people, which means it incarcerates a higher percentage of its population than any other democracy in the world.
